The Department of Predictive Solutions of NCO Group has an immediate opening for a Research Scientist. NCO Group is a leader in customer relationship management (CRM), accounts receivable management (ARM), and portfolio management related to accounts receivable. Using predictive analytics to improve profitability is a strategic focus of the company. The Research Scientist will be providing operational predictive solutions to all business units at NCO and conducting leading-edge research and development related to various innovative machine learning and data mining applications.

Specific responsibilities of this position include end-to-end data mining projects from data discovery to model deployment, as well as publication of original research ideas. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in CS, EE or related fields with a proven research record in machine learning and predictive data mining. Real world experience in large-scale projects of predictive modeling is desirable. The candidate should have C/C++ proficiency to implement research ideas and to develop deployable algorithms. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and familiarity with common statistic packages is a big plus.
