SEATTLE, WA � February 7, 2006 � Insightful Corporation (NASDAQ:IFUL), a leading provider of predictive analytics and reporting solutions, announced today that the National Cancer Institute has awarded Insightful two initial contracts worth approximately $185,807 to develop advanced bioinformatics software for analysis and evaluation of proteomic cellular signatures in cancer prevention research.

The advanced bioinformatics software will utilize Insightful's SPLUS(R) 7 and S+ArrayAnalyzer products.
