Subject: BayesiaLab 4.1, the leading Bayesian Network software for Data Mining
Bayesia announces the release of
the version 4.1 of BayesiaLab, the leading software in the market of
Bayesian networks and Data Mining.
The main new features of this release are:
- Total recasting
of the node editor. Structured with thumbnails, this new editor allows
now to manage all the properties of the node (color, image,
temporal index, observation cost), allows to specify if it belongs to
one or more classes of nodes, allows to associate numerical
values to its modalities, and also allows to edit its associated
comment;
- A constraint editor that allows to introduce some a priori knowledge on the
structure of the network by specifying forbidden arcs between nodes or
classes of nodes;
- An imputation algorithm that allows to complete the missing values based on
the probabilistic law or by choosing the value with the highest probability;
- New inference tools, with the Off-line Inference to compute and save the
probability distributions of a set of nodes with respect to a file of
cases, the Interactive Inference to set evidences, step by
step, based on the values that are described in an observation file, the
Interactive Bayesian Updating to use the associated database as an
observation file and to update the probability distributions of the
parameters of the network;
- An algorithm to reduce
the complexity of the too connected Bayesian networks; this
algorithm allows then to carry out exact inference on approximate networks;
- and, as usual, increased ergonomics of the interface and performance improvements.
