I2R is Singapore's premier Information, Communications and Media (ICM) research institute. We are currently located on a wooded ridge, amid tropical greenery, and overlooking the sea. We are looking for outstanding researchers to join our team as Senior Scientist (Data Mining) in our Knowledge Discovery Department (http://research.i2r.a-star.edu.sg/KD). If selected, you will have an opportunity to visualize, develop and execute new scientific directions in knowledge discovery research, and initiate applied research projects in data mining that can lead towards eventual commercialization of the technologies developed.

Requirements:

• A PhD in Computer Science with published evidence of excellent independent research and innovative applications of data mining
• Experienced in building a strong research team in data mining and well-networked internationally will be desired, but fresh Ph.D.�s are also welcome to apply
• Data mining industry experience and ability to secure independent international research funding will be a plus
• Familiar with industry-focused data mining, knowledge management, and interest in commercialization
