StatSoft (Tulsa, Oklahoma), September 12, 2006. A recent report highlights Caterpillar's use of the PROCEED software for the optimization of engine designs. Created in collaboration with Caterpillar, the PROCEED software was developed for the modeling, optimization and simulation of manufacturing processes.

Caterpillar is currently using PROCEED in a variety of areas including the optimization of new engine design to speed the time required to bring the engine to market while optimizing the many conflicting requirements in today�s complex manufacturing processes.
