JOB DESCRIPTION:
NetRatings seeks an experienced, professional, motivated Data Analytics Manager to manage a team of seven data analysts in its Milpitas, California, office. Working in close partnership with internal and external clients, the Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for management, prioritization, delegation and oversight of a large volume of recurring and ad hoc custom data requests.

In addition to day-to-day management of the group, the Data Analytics Manager must seek continual improvement in the skills of the members of the team, and must constantly seek opportunities to improve the structure of the group and of the processes and workflow within the group. To do this effectively requires relevant project management experience, a strong understanding of NetRatings' diverse set of products (NetRatings will provide training), the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical professionals, and inherently strong problem solving skills.

The successful candidate in this position will make a significant contribution to the ongoing satisfaction of NetRatings' largest clients, and drive continued sales growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Define group processes, and refine roles, and responsibilities for a team of seven data analysts
• Establish and maintain project management skills and practices across a team of data analysts
• Delegate recurring and ad hoc projects to a data analytics team with diverse skills and competencies
• Work with internal and external clients to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Provide leadership and foster team cohesiveness
• Support sales and analytics teams in designing, determining feasibility, and pricing of custom research projects

• Experience managing a staff of technical professionals
• 2+ years professional project management experience in an IT-related position
• Experience working with non-technical internal or external clients
• 2+ years working with SQL databases
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle
• 5+ years of professional experience in a technical environment
• Superior organization and multi-tasking skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to develop technical requirements to address specific business needs
• Knowledge of Project Management principles and Best Practices
• Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
• Ability to determine appropriate mechanisms to measure the success of a technical group
• Ability to negotiate competing demands from internal and external clients
• Ability to identify and recruit talented staff
• Ability to work in an environment with periodic ambiguity
• Inclination to analyze and improve existing processes
• Commitment to development of junior level staff

• B.A. / B.S. required or equivalent
• Professional Project Management training a plus
