Strategy & Analysis Group
The Digitas Strategy & Analysis Group is responsible for driving strategic thinking and economic insight across multiple client engagements. Specifically, we:

  • Discover new paths for growth by uncovering and developing new segments, products, and channels
  • Optimize budget and programs through test-and-learn, discipline, innovation and analysis to get the best possible return on the marketing investment
  • Lay the Strategy foundation for companies just starting to develop relationship marketing capabilities
  • Collaborate with creative, media, marketing and technology to build a robust marketing strategy for the client
Responsibilities
We are looking for thought leaders and project managers who can guide their teams by fostering key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide the principle strategies. As an associate director, you will:
  • Act as focal point for internal cross-functional teams and liaison to client teams. Develop business within the context of existing client project work
  • Contribute to strategy-oriented intellectual capital for clients and the internal Digitas organization. Develop effective relationships with clients and other groups across the agency
  • Define scope, recommended approach, and manage execution of strategy and strategic planning projects for clients
  • Contribute to formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching major strategic issues, both leveraging existing Digitas intellectual capital and developing innovative concepts
  • Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff on all aspects of client deliverables including preparation, management of project budgets and resource allocation
  • Serve as an account team partner in aligning marketing productivity with a client�s broader business goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the development and presentation of new business proposals to existing and new clients
  • Build a team environment amongst account staff and other departments; motivate others
  • Participate in hiring of new employees
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of business experience in Management Consulting, Marketing, Advertising, or Interactive Consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
  • 3+ years managing and coordinating multiple strategy projects across internal teams and client relationships
  • Degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, or economics: MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Possession of excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects across internal teams
  • Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint with strong SAS or SPSS, and other database packages (e.g., MS Access)
  • Extensive experience managing, mentoring and leading a team
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
Career Path
The length of time in the associate director role will depend on educational background, prior experience and performance during tenure and is expected to be 3-5 years. After this period, associate directors typically get promoted to the Vice President/Associate Director role. Some associate directors that leave Digitas find that a rigorous career at Digitas has prepared them to pursue corporate manager jobs or inspired them to start their own business.
