This position focuses on research into inductive constraint-programming in the domain of crew scheduling. The core objective is to develop techniques to learn and refine both constraints and rules from historical scheduling solutions and data about their outcomes. The successful person will work cooperatively on all aspects of the research. They will be expected to participate in all aspects of the research team’s activities, including discussion with industry partners, algorithm design and implementation, and the analysis and reporting of research results.

Salary range: AUD$69,853 - $82,951 pa Level B plus superannuation

Duration: Three-year appointment
