The leading journals were

• Other: ML/AI journals
• Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery
• IEEE TKDE
• KAIS
• J. of Intelligent Information Systems
• Intelligent Data Analysis

Interestingly, after data mining journals, the second largest group is machine learning journals. Relatively few readers have indicated that they submitted to database journals.

Does this indicate a stronger connection between Data Mining and Machine Learning, than between Data Mining and Database Research?
