SAS Institute brings 100 jobs to Cary

SAS SAS Institute, a provider of business analytics software, is adding 100 jobs to the SAS Analytics Lab located in Cary, NC.

The positions will focus on provide data analysis for state and local government groups that are deciding budgets for 2011.

SAS will be looking to fill the positions with government and technology experts who will work at SAS's new cloud computing center at its Cary headquarters.

The SAS Analytics Lab currently employes a few hundred experts who specialize in analyzing tax collection, waste abuse, public safety, education and ways to uncover government fraud.

The lab started in 2000 and has grown 35 percent since its inception.
