KEY OBJECTIVES:

Support the Direct Mail Marketing group by providing database reporting and analysis. Uses Microsoft SQL and SPSS Clementine to compile lists and reports for the marketing staff. Determines the results of marketing campaigns using data mining techniques. Interprets the results of marketing campaigns. Produce scores pertaining to the customer's likelihood to upgrade, cross-sell and respond to marketing campaigns. Works with the end-users to determine their data needs and analyze the results of their data query. Stays informed of the dynamic changes in the product structure and systems, and reflects those changes in the queries and models. Perform audits on the modeling techniques and results. Interprets and converts raw data into meaningful and useful marketing intelligence.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate the accurate and timely delivery of data to either internal or external vendors.

2. Determine the essential models useful for SPSS Clementine.

3. Provide automated reporting from the Data Mining tool.

4. Work with IS to automate scheduled reporting functions.

5. Must be able to manage tasks and timelines for multiple projects at the same time.

6. Must use Microsoft Excel, and other software applications to display reports.

7. Must be analytical and recognize the relationships between data.

8. Recommend improvements to techniques and processes used in marketing analysis.

Experience/Skills:

  • Must have a working knowledge of data mining techniques.
  • BA/BS-Preferably with a concentration in Marketing, Statistics or Computer Science.
  • Experience with a Data Mining software application is highly recommended.
  • Experience as a Microsoft SQL programmer is recommended.
  • Must be detail oriented and very accurate in the performance of tasks.
  • Must have a working knowledge of database software packages.
  • Experience in performing data pulls off a database is preferred.
  • Must be analytical and able to recognize relationships between data.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software.
