The successful candidate will provide senior level product management experience in developing a data management plan (DMP); interface with other team members that are architecting any applications/procedures and ensuring compliance of the DMP.

The successful candidate must have experience as a Database Administrator(DBA) in any of the major Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Sybase) with 1+ years management/supervisory experience; knowledge and understanding of data mining, analysis products, software and applications is required. The ability to coordinate activities and resources within or between units, sections, or divisions and to assess and evaluate the performance of computer operating systems is also required.

Daily responsibilities of the position consist of knowledge of physical database performance and integrity characteristics; of data processing analysis techniques and physical database design; of repository/database systems; to resolve and prevent database performance and integrity problems; to use database maintenance utilities; to resolve data security issues and problems; to use technical manuals and publications; to communicate effectively; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; knowledge of the principles of business and public administration; of documentation standards for information technology; and of planning techniques.

The goal of this project is the enhancement of the initial operating capability provided at land ports of entry as implemented, through the issuance of a unique identifier that is capable of being read automatically, passively, and remotely during subsequent exit and reentry by program enrolled travelers.
