LinkedIn Blog has an interesting analysis of top names for different professions. Top names which are over-represented for male CEOs are
Peter, Bob, Jack, Bruce, and Fred
while top names for women CEOs are:
Deborah, Sally, Debra, Cynthia, and Carolyn
Top names for Sales professionals were
Chip, Todd, and Trey
while top engineering names were
Rajesh, Jeremy, and Andrew.
There are different names which are overrepresented for different professions, so it raises an interesting question of what comes first.
