I recently attended and gave a keynote talk at San Diego SuperData Summit (www.superdatasummit.com), a celebration of analytics and data mining aimed at promoting San Diego as a major analytics hub.
My talk was a survey of where analytics/data mining has been, the current state of the industry, looking at ground analytics and cloud analytics job skills, and assessment of some big data trends.
I received a lot of positive feedback on my presentation, and here it is.

(this talk was popular on Slideshare and even make Slideshare homepage as one of the most talked about presentations on LinkedIn)
