Most reports are still delivered not in real-time, and without the desired interactivity. Some recommendations: With limited budgets in 2001, firms should simplify, picking analytical targets and choosing projects that: Take advantage of packaged data models (from companies like MicroStrategy and Oracle) Employ data preparation from packaged solutions. Deliver short-term wins. Drive business information to the frontlines. Seek help from analytics consultants and analytics outsourcers.
