Job Duties:
This position reports to the Managers of Database Marketing. The
primary purpose of this position is to extract and analyze customer
level data in order to support the strategic initiatives of product
development, analytics, sales, and marketing. The qualified candidate
will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Support development of target segments in the campaign management tool utilizing 3rd party demographic data, segmentation, and other external data. This would include analysis of data, list preparation, and report preparation
- Analyzing marketing campaign effectiveness, including tracking, reporting and analysis of marketing campaigns
- Design, implementation, maintenance, and analysis of predictive models using SAS and KXEN
- Data cleansing, pre-processing, and QA of data for ad hoc projects to ensure data quality and business requirements are met
- Maintenance/troubleshooting support of SAS and KXEN applications in Citrix environment.
Required Skills:
- 3 years minimum proven experience in direct marketing, business intelligence, and data warehousing
- Proven experience in list development as related to targeting and selection criteria for campaign management
- Proven experience in direct marketing such as use of segmentation schemes, vertical lists, data cleansing, merge/purge, prospecting, and targeting
- Expert skills in the use of SQL and SAS
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, campaign mart, and OLAP design,
- Demonstrable skills using one or more database reporting tools such as Microstrategy
- Ability to work independently and, in person with customers to define requirements and perform requested tasks
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret findings and present in both oral and written format
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience with consumer segmentation schemes such as Microvision, PRIZM, or ConneXions
Differentiators:
- Recent experience with SAS, OLAP and campaign management tools including Cognos, Business Objects, Chordiant Marketing Director, Affinium Model, Aprimo, or Epiphany
- Documentation of best practices in a database marketing environment
- Experience utilizing a consumer segmentation system to develop targets
- Telecommunications industry experience
