Job Description:
Amazon.com Fraud Prevention Service is looking for Senior Risk
Analysts to research and develop next generation automated fraud
prevention systems using advanced statistics, decision analytics and
machine learning. The candidate will be expected to:
- research and develop high-quality fraud and risk detection models,
- analyze, develop and refine fraud case management processes,
- work closely with a high caliber team of software engineers to implement the models
in real-time detection engines, and
- perform monitoring and analyses of fraud detection systems and operations.
In addition, you
will be expected to perform do ad hoc database analysis and data
mining to quickly identify novel fraud patterns/trends and to support
fraud operations business management. The position is considered
critical and of high business impact.
Qualified candidates should have:
- MS degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, Operations Research, Physics or similar quantitative field. PhD is preferred.
- at least two years of deep experience in statistical modeling and analysis
- strong ability to solve problems and to work in a very fast-paced environment
- good communication skills
- familiar with SAS, SQL and comfortable working in unix/linux/PC environments
- familiar with Perl/C/C++ a plus
