Job Description:

What's in it for me?

Interested in a challenging opportunity that will leverage your unique blend of technology and business skills? As a technical program/product manager, you will shape the next generation product strategy for the Amazon Associates program, the leading provider and largest network of affiliate solutions on the Web. Your responsibilities will include innovating and prioritizing new features and services to extend our current product offering, conducting business and competitive analyses, building product roadmaps, collecting requirements, writing functional specifications, scheduling, and managing key software projects. You will be ultimately responsible for the success of critical initiatives as we extend the ways consumers find and discover Amazon products and services across the Web.

Our Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background that enables him/her to interact easily with software and Web developers and a demonstrated ability to think strategically about product and business issues. The right person will have 5-7 years of product and program management experience, be highly analytical, have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented yet able to look at a wide array of choices and identify what truly matters, and be calm in the face of fast-moving and hectic environments. Experience working with large, high performance systems, distributed networks, and a working knowledge of database modeling, OO language and design, XML, XSLT, HTML, and JavaScript is desired. Bachelors degree required; MBA and computer science degree preferred.
