This is a statistical modeling position in Decision Technologies, directly supporting the private label credit card portfolio. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of models for marketing, customer retention, risk assessment, etc. Additionally, this individual will assist in the development of valid statistical test designs, to ensure the correct evaluation of program effectiveness. Major business functions performed by this position include: process modeling; forecasting; data analysis; internal consulting; vendor evaluation; proposal development; behavior modeling; experimental design; cost/benefit analysis; and operations research. Senior-level candidates will be expected to lead project teams, supervise and train new employees, and propose and develop new initiatives.

Requirements:
MS or Ph.D. in a technical field (Engineering, Math, Statistics, Physical Sciences, Econometrics, or Operations Research). 2 to 4 years experience with modeling and analysis of large data sets (regression, neural networks, genetic algorithms, classification trees, optimization techniques, etc.), preferably in a related industry. Good programming (e.g., C/C++) and Unix scripting skills are desired, as is experience with statistical packages (e.g., SAS, S-plus). Business experience is preferred. Good communications and interpersonal skills required.
