The book is intended for readers who for professional or academic reasons have the need to analyze patient data, in order to establish a diagnosis or prognosis: investigators, medical students, clinical informatics students, statistics majors, employees of clinical laboratories and hospitals. Different statistical and machine learning techniques are explained in detail, with respect to their application to clinical data analysis. The book also describes, in a structured manner, a series of adapted techniques and original approaches, based on the experience and collaborations of the author in this field. The author, David Nettleton, incorporates material from his practical experience and from diverse investigation projects, to enrich the content and offer an original approach to clinical data analysis.
