This course is for professionals who need a fresh perspective on how to support their organizations through predictive analytics. For data analysts, the course will provide them with new ideas for exploring their data and for successfully presenting their findings.

Students will build complex exploratory predictive models with real-world data. Recognizing that the purpose of predictive analytics is to improve business decisions, the course will discuss the entire process of predictive analytics including: project organization, implementation, exploration, successful presentation of findings, and acceptance of those findings by the enterprise. Analytical methods used in the class include decision trees, logistic regression, neural networks, and link analysis.
