Media6Degrees Inc. (www.media6degrees.com), the leader in delivering scalable customized audiences to marketers based on online social connections, today announced that it has enlisted data analysis and machine-learning veteran Claudia Perlich as Chief Scientist. The hiring enhances the company's already world class research team, which is responsible for developing the data analysis and science that powers the company's proprietary social targeting technology.
"Claudia is a landmark hire for Media6Degrees. Bringing on such a prominent talent in the data science field speaks volumes about the company's technology and research vision," said CEO Tom Phillips. "New York has become the nation's media technology capital, and having Claudia as our chief scientist is a huge step for our Research team, and highlights our commitment to innovating and expanding the role of social targeting in the digital advertising industry."
"Media6Degrees has developed a technology that drives performance better than any of the traditional forms of ad targeting," Perlich said. "My experience across various data analysis and machine learning fields should help advance the work that is currently being done."
