Polyvore is expanding its social media capabilities with Style Analytics, which measures key trends, the popularity of brands and the amount of engagement users have with fashion brands.
Polyvore Style Analytics seems like it could be very useful to marketers and advertisers. Analytics programs have been popular in understanding websites and social networks like Twitter & Facebook; however, until now, have not been used to understand websites that attract niche audiences (in this case, a highly interactive community of fashion enthusiasts).
A data measuring tool like Style Analytics helps to understand the preferences of those who are knowledgeable in fashion and are especially media-savvy and know to make clip, save, and edit Polyvore sets to produce beautiful collages.
