If Watson wins, it's a victory for 2,800 computers, and no disgrace to the two flesh-and-blood champions who took it on. If Watson loses, then I.B.M. should be ashamed: the company should have gone all out and sprung for a full 3,000.
This event brings us closer to Raymond Kurtzweil prediction of "singularity" - emergence of full-fledged AI in less than 50 years.

Fantastic achievement for IBM already !
I think that non-technical people have seen many sci-fi movies and think that AI is already here, so there is no amazement at this performance.
Interesting that Watson got questions on the "decades" wrong
