Deepak Agarwal is Principal Research Scientist at Yahoo. He developed novel recommender algorithms for Yahoo!'s content optimization engine that led to a 3x improvement in click-rates on the Y! front page and significant improvement on several other Yahoo! properties. Deepak has published several publications including a best-paper award have resulted from the work. Previously he had been instrumental in social network research with ATT and various other statistical problems.

About the talk:

This talk will focus on building recommendation systems on web scale. Deepak will go deep in statistical models and how these models are applied on a real world problem.
