The European data miners have longest vacation of 4.3 weeks (avg), while Latin Americans have the shortest. Interestingly, academic researchers report shorter vacation time than ones in the industry.

How much vacation time you took (or plan to take) in 2011?

Based on votes from 142 participants, we note that the European data miners still enjoy the longest vacation of 4.3 weeks on average and Latin American data miners have the shortest at a little less than 3 weeks.. Interestingly, academic researchers report shorter vacation time than ones in the industry.
