This competition is focused on forecasting Standard & Poor's 500 (S&P500) closing prices from 1st January, 2012 to 31st March, 2012. It is the first of many aimed at building a quality market prediction engine.

Provided data includes S&P 500 daily data since 2001 till 23 Nov 2011 (and you can use data post 23 Nov 2011 till 31 Dec 2011 as it is available publicly).

The contest has a prize money pool of $3000 including a prize for community participation.
