Job Description
The Boeing Company Applied Statistics group is devoted to research and consulting in support of all aspects of the aerospace industry. Our work in industrial statistics often require the development of innovative approaches, e.g., Statistical Quality Control for parts with complex geometries, design of experiments applied to Wind Tunnel and Flight Tests, and Reliability Analysis under non-standard censoring. The complexity of aerospace industry also leads us to many other areas of research and applications: Image Processing, Spatial Statistics, Multivariate Time Series, Data Mining, Design and Analysis of Computer Experiments, Bayesian Information Retrieval, Financial Modeling, Stochastic Optimization.

The Applied Statistics group is part of the Mathematics & Computing Technology research and development organization. Competencies
Statistician experienced in applications, in research, and proficient in statistical software. Broad knowledge of statistical methodologies commonly used in industry. Experience consulting with non-statisticians, e.g., engineers, managers. In research, the statistician should show valuable experience through the relevance of their publications. Great enthusiasm, excellent communication skills.

Education
Prefer masters and 10 years experience or doctorate and 5 years experience. Requires masters and 5 years experience or doctorate in Statistics or related field Mathematics, Computer Science, IE, EE.
