The previous KDnuggets Poll asked:

Have you done data mining work on parallel computers, including multi-core chips ?

About half of the respondents have never done it, and only 17% of them are regularly using parallel computers.

This may be due to limited number of data miners who have deal with really large databases that benefit from parallel hardware.
