The Specialist, KDD acts as knowledge engineer and data miner in acquiring, testing, and validating knowledge relevant to regulatory surveillance. Acts as programmer/analyst and consultant in all phases of system development and use including: requirements analysis; systems design; implementation; and acceptance testing, to practically apply technology in order to meet surveillance needs within a prioritized basis. A Bachelors� degree, or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems or related field required (advanced degree in same desirable). Two or more years of experience in SAS. Extensive experience in procedural programming (C/C++, UNIX Shell Scripting, etc.). Three to four years of SQL, and experience with Oracle database is a must. ASP experience desirable as well as knowledge of capital and financial markets not required, but desirable.
