Datameer and Zementis partner to execution PMML on Massive Parallel Scale

Joint Solution Leverages Predictive Model Markup Language and Hadoop

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Datameer, Inc. (www.datameer.com ), a provider of big data analytics built on Hadoop, and Zementis (www.zementis.com ), a leading provider of predictive analytics solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to help companies easily deploy, execute and integrate scalable standards-based predictive analytics.

The joint partnership will combine the ADAPA decision engine framework for real-time execution of predictive models and rules from Zementis, with the power and scale of Datameer Analytics Solution (DAS), an end-to-end solution that includes data source integration, storage, an analytics engine and visualization.

ADAPA fully supports the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML), the de-facto standard for data mining applications. PMML, developed by the Data Mining Group, provides a standard way for an application to define statistical and data mining models so that they can be easily shared with any other application that supports PMML.

DAS uses Apache Hadoop, a Java-based framework that supports the parallel processing of large data sets in a distributed environment, to scale cost-effectively to 4000 servers and petabytes of data.
