New York, NY (PRWEB) June 9, 2010 -- The world's leading Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining conference (KDD), organized by the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (ACM SIGKDD), will convene in Washington DC, from July 25-28, 2010. Attracting hundreds of high caliber scientists, academics and students, as well as renowned industry experts, KDD 2010 is the top forum to present and discuss academic and industry advances in data mining and predictive analytics. Topics range from understanding social graphs with hundreds of millions of users, to clustering and recommendation predictive analytics algorithms, to innovative social network classification approaches that chart new directions to discover and take advantage of data.

- Dr. Yoav Freund, Professor at University of California, San Diego, and recipient of the G�del Prize for his work on the AdaBoost algorithm, will describe how his group uses machine learning to glean useful information from data streams generated by research in cellular biology, oceanography, human-computer and human-human interaction.
