New version combines Microsoft Excel export with support for Silverlight, Windows Forms and ASP.NET in one component

MORRISVILLE, NC - GrapeCity PowerTools has announced the availability of ActiveAnalysis 2 (www.datadynamics.com/Products/ActiveAnalysis ), one of the first freeform OLAP, data visualization and Business Intelligence (BI) components for Microsoft Silverlight, Windows Forms, and Microsoft ASP.NET.

Designed for Silverlight 4, the latest version allows developers to rapidly embed cross-browser data visualization and business intelligence features into their applications. Another significant new feature is the support for exporting the onscreen data to Microsoft Excel-compatible format that allows end users to share, archive and analyze the data offline.

ActiveAnalysis benefits include:

  • Develop in Silverlight, Windows Forms and ASP.NET using just one component.
  • Use the Excel export feature to make it easy for your users to share findings with others.
  • Embed out-of-the-box OLAP, data visualization & BI without writing a single line of code.
  • Let your users uncover trends more easily with a continuous view of discrete data.
  • Leverage native support for SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and custom MDX queries.
  • Treat relational data as multi-dimensional and benefit from flexible data binding options.
"ActiveAnalysis makes it easy for developers to embed sophisticated Business Intelligence features into their applications and allows companies to develop and evolve their BI solutions with less development efforts," said Rick Williamson, GrapeCity PowerTools General Manager. "ActiveAnalysis also reflects our continued commitment to delivering unique, world-class tools for the developer community."
