DePaul's MS in Predictive Analytics graduates develop both analytical skills and business acumen through taking courses in analytics, data mining and marketing. The MS PA prepares professionals to be leaders in the analytics field. Students learn the technical skills to conduct advanced analyses, develop communication skills to effectively present technical results to business clients, and are able to translate client needs into analytic tasks.
The curriculum also includes working on real-world analytic problems to assist companies and organizations with data analytics needs that partner with the DePaul Data Mining and Predictive Analytics center (DaMPA). Students can complete the degree entirely online, allowing out-of- state students access to the same course content and faculty expertise as on-campus students. Learn more at dampa.cdm.depaul.edu

DaMPA and the MS PA, in conjunction with the Kellstadt Graduate School of business, held a career night on Monday, February 13, 2012. Students joined marketing analytics representatives to discuss career opportunities and engage in interactive discussions around business and employment opportunities in analytics. Companies in attendance included Havi Global Solutions, Nielsen, Ogilvy, Razorfish, Acxiom, Mintel, Food Genius, and Suite Partners.
DePaul MS PA student Sarah Pieczynski commented, "I'm at the point in my studies where it's time to start thinking about what I want to do after graduation. This was a great opportunity to begin conversations with recruiters and get a sense as to what options may be available."
"The DePaul analytics career night was a great event; we connected with a fantastic group of students. They came well-prepared and armed with not only resumes but background research on Food Genius and how they might work with us. Needless to say, we were impressed. Food Genius highly values our relationship with DaMPA for a slew of reasons, and chief among them is access to amazing talent," commented Justin Massa, founder & CEO of Food Genius.
Meet and Greet events were also recently held with Allstate, SBB Research Group, and JP Morgan Chase. Of the other positions shared with DaMPA and DePaul students in Predictive Analytics most recently, most are from the Technology sector, though there are many from the Government sector and Retail companies.
