This new meetup will host and highlight events on topics spanning a wide range of data mining topics. It is intended to compliment the successful Data Visualization meetup by allowing for meetups of a more technical nature.

Goals:
1. Host events (talks, workshops, hack-athons, volunteer coding, ...)
2. Highlight existing events around the bay area and organize transportation, etc)
3. Spread awareness of rising data mining technologies
