The University of Porto is seeking international candidates for the Master in Information Engineering (MEINF), which is taught entirely in English.
INESC Porto (the coordinating entity of INESC TEC) is partner in this new Master in Information Engineering (MEINF) offered by the University of Porto.

MEINF is offered by the Faculty of Engineering at University of Porto, Portugal.
MEINF aims at offering specific formation in the generation, distribution, analysis and use of Information in engineering systems. MEINF educates engineers to be able to design, build and test engineering systems centered in information and knowledge processing.
Students will learn to design, analyze and implement mathematical models to be applied to complex systems of the industrial or corporate world, and to create efficient strategies to optimize their performance. Throughout their training, students will acquire both the theoretical and methodological tools which will be applied in all fields of engineering, with applications in economics, environmental sciences, life sciences, and other domains.
MEINF targets both national and international audiences and is designed for excellence and competitiveness at the international level.
It aims to prepare selected students for leadership in research and development careers in industry, academia and independent entrepreneurial initiatives.
Who can apply
MEINF is directed to graduates in Engineering and Science, who want to become Leaders in information in engineering systems.
Edition: 2012/2013, starting September 2012
Candidates to the MEINF Program can be pre-admitted before they can start the application procedure.
The following may apply for MEINF Program:
a) Holders of a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent;
b) Holders of a foreign Higher Education degree conferred after a first cycle of studies structured in accordance with the Bologna Process by a State that implemented this process;
c) Holders of a foreign Higher Education degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of a Bachelor's degree by the Scientific Committee of the MEINF Program;
d) Those with an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting to their ability to attend this cycle of studies by the Scientific Committee of the MEINF Program.
