This French-speaking international conference is devoted to theories, methods and applications of data mining, machine learning, knowledge discovery in databases, knowledge management and engineering. It aims at providing a forum for researchers, students and professionals for presenting research results. It allows to bring together experts from both academia and industry for the exchange of ideas and discussion of future challenges in knowledge extraction and management.
The proceedings of the conference will be published in a special issue of the French RNTI journal "Revue des Nouvelles Technologies de l'Information". Outstanding papers will be honored with a Best Paper Award (associated with a price) for each category (research, application). Furthermore, selected accepted papers will be invited to submit an expanded version for publication in international post-proceedings published by Springer-Verlag, through an expedient review and publication process.
