Business Analytics using Data Mining (BADM) is a post-graduate elective course offered at the Indian School of Business. The course covers data mining techniques and their use in strategic business decision making. This course is now being offered in a hybrid model, where the online component is open to a larger community. Pre-requisite knowledge is a basic course in statistics and fearlessness.
BADM is a hands-on course that provides an understanding of detecting and defining business analytics problems and opportunities, evaluating performance, being familiar with key data mining methods, including data visualization, predictive analytics, clustering and dimension reduction. During the course, you will work on solving a business analytics problem using data mining tools and applying them to real data.
The instructor is Galit Shmueli, PhD, SRITNE Chaired Professor of Data Analytics, at the Indian School of Business.
