A lot of people use Instagram - if it isn't already, it is definitely one of the top social media applications. One thing I do is follow Instagram accounts around data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

I follow other types of content as well, but it works my brain when I see code, problems to solve or theory based knowledge. It gets me to understand what I know and what I need to work further on.

I have put this blog together to help you figure out what instagram accounts you should follow to get the best data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence content.

@GitHub

If you haven’t already used github, github is a code hosting platform for version control, software development and collaboration. Their page covers all soft and hard skill related - making it a good instagram page for beginners into the world of Data Science. When clicking on the link in their bio, you can further explore each post with a detailed blog - catering to people who like simplified information and detailed information.

@itsthatlady.dev

If you’ve just entered the development industry and you need some more guidance - Kadesha who owns @itsthatlady.dev is a great Instagram page to follow. She provides career tips and different types of resources to the newbies in tech. She guides you the best paths you should take, if it’s which location is good to work in, what training programs you should take, and more. If you want something a bit more interactive, where someone is talking to you - this is the page for you!

@madewithcode

An instagram page created by Google which aimed to inspire girls to code. We all know that the tech industry is very male dominant, making it harder for women to feel comfortable to enter the industry. The page celebrates women in the tech industry and how they can potentially inspire other women from all age groups to enter the industry. They also teamed up with Teen Vogue to get high school and college-aged females more interested in possibly pursuing a career in tech.

@NvidiaAI

If you are particularly interested in AI and what Nvidia are currently doing with it - this is an interesting page. It will give you a lot of great content about their new products, what they’re achieving and what’s potentially next. They also post up and coming events and workshops, which is a good way to keep in the loop, network and build your career. You will also learn about how other people are using NvidiaAI to innovate their current business using the #IAMAI - potentially guiding you to the right direction for your business or the aim to start one.

@learn.machinelearning

If you’re looking for straight knowledge of machine learning and if you’re interested in learning more - this is the page. Uday Kiran is the founder of the page and their aim was to help people get started with machine learning. The content is everything on machine learning; to how to get into machine learning, machine learning interpretations and even how big companies such as Google and Snapchat are using machine learning. You can also do quizzes to test your knowledge, along with project ideas and tips!

@machinelearning

Another page for learning about machine learning is machinelearning! Their aim is to present machine learning in an intuitive way. They also can be found on Medium and YouTube. I personally like how their content is consistent in format and presentation. They provide simple but informative slides about different topics, such as statistics, math, data science and more! They have over 100 posts, along with their medium and YouTube content for you to learn from.

@python.learning

If you’ve chosen Python as your programming language, this is a good instagram page for you to follow. It provides you with information on careers, different courses that you can take to get there, theory knowledge of machine learning, and much more. On top of all of that, to make your programming career a little better, it has constant memes to help you get through the transition of learning a new programming language. Nothing wrong with having a little giggle whilst you’re learning at the same time.

@neuralnet.ai

If you’re interested in neural networks and improving your knowledge on deep learning - you’ve found your page! Similar to @machinelearning, the consistency of the presentation of the page is what caught my eye. They have good visualizations with great simple but important content for you to expand your knowledge of DL. They also have a GitHub page, Quizzes to test your DL understanding, and have also guided you to what they consider the best book on ML: Hands-on machine learning with Scikit-Learn, Keras and Tensorflow.

Conclusion

If you catch yourself on instagram a bit, following one of these pages will keep you on top of your career in tech and help you figure out what to do next. There are so many more instagram pages out there, if you know of any good ones - please drop them in the comments below so that other people can improve their journey in Data Science, ML, and AI.
