If you’re in the tech industry (or are attempting to transition into the field), LLMs are a must-learn.

Companies have started integrating language models into their workflows to improve efficiencies and cut costs.

Due to this, there have been a number of new AI job openings. New roles have begun to emerge, such as LLM engineers, AI consultants, and AI engineers.

These roles pay very well and the ability to implement generative AI infrastructures is an in-demand skill.

Fortunately, there are tons of free resources on the Internet to help you get started with LLMs, even if you’re a complete beginner in the field of AI.

In this article, I will provide you with 5 YouTube channels that will help you master Large Language Models.

1. Krish Naik

Krish Naik is well-renowned in the data science and AI field and creates in-depth free tutorials on all things machine learning.

He has multiple generative AI playlists and videos covering the following topics:

I like Krish’s videos because they are well-explained and have a clear structure. His channel comprises a good balance between theoretical concepts and practical application.

This will help you gain a comprehensive understanding of how LLMs work while implementing your own AI applications with Python.

2. Andrej Karpathy

Andrej Karpathy is well-renowned in the AI space. He has a PhD in computer science from Stanford and went on to hold prominent leadership positions at companies like OpenAI and Tesla.

He also frequently posts on social media platforms like YouTube, where he breaks down complex AI concepts to the public.

If you are a complete beginner to the world of generative AI, you will benefit from his 1-hour YouTube video explaining how LLMs work.

He also has tutorials on building LLMs and tokenizers from scratch, which you can follow along with once you’ve watched his introductory video.

3. Yannic Kilcher

Yannic Kilcher breaks down AI research papers and explains complex LLM concepts like the attention mechanism and transformer architecture.

Yannic typically comes up with detailed walkthroughs of AI models once they are released, and also provides commentary on recent developments in the field.

His videos often range between 45 minutes to 1 hour and are extremely informative.

I recommend scrolling through his channel and even watching some of Yannic’s older videos on language models like BERT and topics such as Natural Language Processing, which are relevant to the advancements in modern-day language models.

He also has a detailed breakdown of the research paper “Attention is All You Need,” which is responsible for the advancements we’ve experienced in language models.

4. Stanford Online

The Stanford Online YouTube channel provides free access to lectures taught at Stanford University.

There is a plethora of resources on machine learning, Natural Language Processing, and generative AI.

I recommend taking the NLP with Deep Learning playlist on this channel. This will teach you about concepts like word embeddings, tokens, and building neural networks for text generation: topics that will give you a foundational understanding of how LLMs work.

The channel also has videos on machine learning, deep learning, and the workings behind LLMs and the GPT-3 model.

5. Freecodecamp

Tech professionals from all over the world - from developers to data scientists - have benefited hugely from Freecodecamp’s in-depth tutorials on ML, programming, and web development.

Unsurprisingly, this YouTube channel is one of the best, most beginner-friendly resources to learn all things generative AI.

Freecodecamp has YouTube videos on the following topics:

Freecodecamp’s videos often last between an hour to over 20 hours and will serve as a comprehensive guide to the topic you’re trying to learn.

The instructors on this channel are domain experts with years of industry experience in their respective fields, making it a trusted learning resource for LLMs.

Takeaways

The YouTube channels mentioned in this article have been created by industry experts - people who work in the field of AI and are now democratizing this knowledge to the public.

I recommend starting with beginner-friendly videos before proceeding to more complex topics like fine-tuning and building LLM-powered applications.

If you found this compilation helpful, I also recommend reading our guide titled “10 Free Resources to Master LLMs,” where we provide a comprehensive list of LLM courses taught by top-tier organizations like Google and Amazon.
