NPD is looking for a motivated Data Classification professional to run our Global Data Classification organization with an initial focus on standardizing processes and developing productivity measurements. The role requires a rare combination of deep and sophisticated analytical expertise; production management; business acumen; strategic mindset; client needs, project management; and a passion for building new capabilities, and teams. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of driving our organization to become a world class data classification center.

Responsibilities for this position include running day to day production, as well as sourcing, leading and presenting forward-thinking, high-impact efficiency projects focused on supporting key strategic initiatives for the US and European businesses. This position is located in Port Washington, NY and is part of the Global Operations department. While we have access to extensive video and teleconferencing technologies, travel both domestically and overseas will be needed in order to manage and lead a global team.

Responsibilities
  • Meet weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Evaluate the cost structure of the department and recommend the most cost effective options to optimally run the department.
  • Evaluate current data classification process and recommend additional techniques and standards for measuring productivity and reducing manual effort.
  • Develop and design presentations, reports and other deliverables to communicate findings and make recommendations with a focus on "what it means" and actions to consider.
  • Manage production schedules, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality, on time and within budget.
  • This position will directly manage and mentor staff members; create learning, development and engagement plans to help source and retain key talent.

 
Qualifications
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Market Research, and Machine Learning algorithms:
  • Experience with large data sets and databases; integrating, coding, preparing for analysis, and analyzing data to draw meaningful conclusions and strategic implications
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms
  • Practical knowledge of statistical analysis software, e.g., SAS, SPSS as well as additional open source options like R. Knowledge of Hadoop/Hive desired. PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization experience preferred.
  • Superior problem solving mindset and skills
  • Ability to navigate large and complex organizations.
  • Enthusiasm for technology
  • Graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, business, or social science a must.
