MS and PhD Studentships in Data Mining / Machine Learning


Data Mining Lab research areas include meta-learning and data mining process automation, social network analysis, and social capital in online communities. Financial support will be provided

Applications are invited for MS and PhD studentships in the Data Mining Lab at Brigham Young University (dml.cs.byu.edu). MS students are expected to pay tuition but financial support will be provided in the form of research or teaching assistantships. Qualified PhD students will be hired as research assistants in the lab, and the cost of tuition will be covered.

The following are research areas of interest to the Data Mining Lab:

  • Computational Health Science
  • Meta-learning and data mining process automation
  • Social network analysis and social capital in online communities
  • Record linkage
