Open Postdoc/Research Assistant Positions

Data management group of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (www.cais.ntu.edu.sg/dante/) has two openings of Postdoc or Research Assistant (RA). We also have 4-year PhD scholarships. We conduct leading-edge research in data management and data mining. Successful applications are expected to work on one of the following topics: 1) geo-textual data management, 2) location based social networks, 3) mobile activity recognition, and 4) data mining and text mining.

Requirements include:

1. A degree (PhD for Postdoc; Master or Bachelor for RA) in Computer Science, mathematics, or a closely related field from a recognized institution, with excellent results.
2. Strong background in algorithms.
3. Excellent programming skills.
4. Proficiency in English writing and good communication skills.
5. Strong commitment to high quality research and development.

Preferable Qualification

1. Previous research experience in data management, data mining, or text mining.
2. Strong track record for Postdoc position
3. Self-motivated.

For Postdoc/RA positions, the appointment can commence any time and will be initially for one year, with possibility for extension up to three years. Successful candidates will be offered a competitive salary and benefits based on their qualifications.
