A postdoctoral position in the area of protein bioinformatics is
available in the Applied Bioinformatics Lab at the University of Kansas.
The successful candidate will develop novel protein sequence/structure
mining methodologies in areas such as protein stability related

He/she will also have
opportunities to play a key role in a number of other highly visible and
productive projects in an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative
environment.
PREFERENCES:
PhD in Bioinformatics, computational biology or chemistry, biophysics,
or other relevant fields. Strong knowledge in biology and/or chemistry.
Demonstrated experience in datamining using machine learning and
statistical methods. Proficiency in common bioinformatics programming
languages such as Perl and/or Java.
