the University of Pisa has just opened the application call for the admission of foreign (non-Italian) PhD students to our Galileo Galilei Doctoral School, and we managed to have a fellowship dedicated to social network analysis and data mining.
The PhD student will work in our joint KDD LAB (National Research Council + University of Pisa, www-kdd.isti.cnr.it). It would be great to have high-quality candidates, so we ask your help in circulating this announcement among interested potential applicants.
The program starts on 01.01.2011, lasts three years, and PhD students receive around 14.000 euro/year net salary (only research, no teaching) plus extra help with housing and travels. The deadline for application is September 6, 2010.
The call and application instructions are at www.unipi.it/phdcallgalilei
