Management Science Department
The School of Business Administration at the University of Miami is currently seeking applications for an open-rank Clinical Professor (i.e., Professor of Business Practice) position in the Management Science Department, which will be available during the 2014-2015 academic year. This is a non-tenure track position that focuses heavily on business applications. Salaries are extremely competitive and commensurate with background and experience.
The positions require industry and professional experience in applying quantitative techniques in business applications. However, we will also consider strong candidates in academia with demonstrated research and teaching records and interests in business applications.
We are particularly interested in individuals who have extensive experiences in business and marketing analytics, data visualization, data mining and machine learning. Successful applicants will have a doctorate in a management science, statistics, computer science, computer engineering or a related field; candidates with a master's degree and exceptional industry experience equivalent to a doctorate will be considered.
Responsibilities: The Management Science Department plans to launch a Specialty Master Program in Business Analytics in 2014. The selected candidates will be expected to teach business analytics classes, supervise master students' projects, and spearhead program outreach efforts to establish relationships with industry leaders in Business Analytics. They are also expected to be intellectually active and committed to career-long professional development. Writing and publishing are valued activities as a means of disseminating knowledge.

Appointments to Clinical Assistant Professor will require submission by the candidate of a current vita, a statement of professional achievement, and other materials pertinent to the clinical track appointment. Candidates for appointment to Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor will submit the materials specified above and, in addition, reference letters will be sought from persons who can comment knowledgeably about the candidate's professional stature and suitability for the clinical track appointment.
