The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering
at the University of Melbourne has openings for two post-doctoral
research fellows in the area of data mining, with a particular
emphasis on data mining for time evolving networks. The fellows
will be supported by a research grant from the Australian Research
Council Discovery Projects scheme, for two years.
The project is overseen by Prof. Rao Kotagiri, A/Prof Christopher
Leckie and A/Prof James Bailey and is part of the
activities of a leading group of researchers in data mining
and knowledge discovery.
The positions require a PhD degree in computer science or a related
discipline, with research experience in data mining, documented by
a record of high quality publications. Expertise in graph mining
and time series mining is also desired. The fellows will be
working with a team of academics and PhD students. Strong written and
verbal skills are expected.
