Applications are invited for a 2.5 year post-doctoral position at the
ANU. The successful applicant will join the project "Exposing the
Anonymous Attacker: Detecting Identity Crimes using Real-Time Entity
Resolution on Large Dynamic Database"
The project goal is to develop novel techniques for efficient and accurate identity verification on multiple large dynamic databases based on scalable and real-time entity resolution approaches for parallel computing platforms.
A PhD in entity resolution (record linkage, data matching), or related areas (data mining, machine learning or knowledge engineering) is essential, as is a strong publication record, prototype software development and experience with experimental evaluation. The successful applicant will be expected to initiate his/her own research within the project's themes, assist in the supervision of research students, and publish in top-tier journals and conferences.
