Assoc. Professor Position in Information Systems or Operations Research

The Department of Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo invites applications for a full-time, professorial appointment in Operations Research or Information Systems to begin in 2012. Applicants should have completed their PhD in the last 10 years in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science or Information Systems/Software Engineering. The applicants must have a very strong established record of research, and demonstrated ability as an excellent instructor.

This position has the added component of a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (www.chairs.gc.ca). The Chair holder will have a reduced teaching load to facilitate more emphasis on research and graduate student supervision. The Chair position comes with some research funding to supplement the Chair holder's other grants.

Management Sciences is a dynamic and growing interdisciplinary department in the Faculty of Engineering that has active research and teaching activities in Information Systems, Operations Research and Management of Technology. The Department offers a co-op undergraduate degree in Management Engineering, as well as masters and PhD programs.
